Florida Is not Just For Tourists: Its For Corporations Too! Florida Lawyer Article.

BOCA RATON, FLORIDA, August 9 - "I received an email with the words ‘GO F**K YOURSELF’ in the subject line," said Nader Anise, Nat’l. President of The American Lawyers Public Image Assoc. (ALPIA).
"I didn’t know this person from Adam, but I tried to write back to say thank you for taking the time to express your feelings about lawyers, however hurtful or offensive they may be. The email was returned undeliverable." The anonymous email writer went on to use such phrases as "SLEAZEBALLS LIKE YOU," "A BUNCH ON (sic) HYPOCRITICAL BASTARDS," and "DESERVED (sic) 2 BE SPIT ON BOTH SIDES."
Anise has received other mean-spirited emails, but none quite like this.
"Not all emails to ALPIA are negative, though," Anise added. "We receive a great deal of emails from people praising our mission and wanting to participate in ‘National I Love My Lawyer Day’ on November 2nd." On that day, lawyer-bashing is banned; all lawyers are asked to donate their income from one billable hour to Childreach; and the public is asked to let their lawyers know how much they love and appreciate them.
"That email just is a prime example of why ALPIA exists. If we can change the image of lawyers in the eyes of just one person—someone like my anonymous emailing friend—we will have succeeded," Anise said.
"National I Love My Lawyer Day" was declared by national resolution earlier this year. Annually, it will be a national day of lawyer appreciation celebrated on the first Friday of every November. ALPIA, which was featured on NBC television during primetime and also on Access Hollywood, invites the public, all lawyers, the ABA, law schools, State Bar Assns. and all legal organizations to get involved on this special day.
